Rolex Ambassador Lindsey Vonn Painted for 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue dates back to 1964 and has brought worldwide exposure to models and athletes like Kathy Ireland, Christie Brinkley and Serena Williams. This year, Lindsey Vonn joined cover girl Ronda Rousey in wearing a swimsuit painted on by Joanne Gair.

Photographer Frederic Pinet shot Vonn in blue, black and green Missoni-inspired body paint on the sands of Petit St. Vincent, Grenadine Islands, for the 'Athletes in Body Paint' feature. In behind the scenes videos posted on si.com, the American Gold Medalist said 'It's gonna be interesting' just before spending 15 hours getting painted for the shoot.

Lindsey posted her own behind the scenes video to her Instagram account. She was filmed doing pull ups with her body paint on between shots. 'I never stop training,' she writes in the caption.

More recently, she posted a photo with the new Rolex Pearlmaster on her wrist and the hashtag #goals during Baselworld 2016. This year has proven to be very fruitful for the athlete, so hopefully she will be able to add the diamond-clad Pearlmaster to her collection soon enough.
