Rolex Sporting Events and Sponsorships

The Rolex brand has been associated with sports since the early twentieth century. Some of their earliest advertisements featured athletes like Mercedes Gleitze and sportsmen like race car driver Sir Malcolm Campbell. More recently, they have tapped superstar athletes like alpine skier and Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and tennis phenom Roger Federer as brand ambassadors. Aside from that, they also sponsor several international sporting events like those listed below.

With his win against Andy Roddick that year, he broke Pete Sampras' all time Grand Slam record, becoming the first Swiss tennis player to be number one in the world. more

The Bloodhound SSC is a supersonic vehicle currently being developed in Bristol, England to attempt to break the current land speed record of 763.035 mph set by British Royal Air Force fighter pilot Andy Green in 1997. Green has teamed up with previous world land speed record holder and engineer Richard Noble to head the project. more

The 24 hour endurance race is held annually at Daytona International Speedway and sponsored by Rolex. On January 31, 2016, race car driver Luis Felipe Derani, or 'Pipo' as he is also known, took the checkered flag for Tequila Patron ESM at the 2016 Rolex 24 at Daytona. more

The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters 2016 began on April 9, 2016 at the red clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club in the Principality of Monaco. Part of the ATP World Tour, the tournament will welcome the top ranked mens singles players including Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. more

Every Rolex Tells a Story: Steve Guerdat
Olympic equestrian Steve Guerdat, born in Switzerland and coached by his father Philippe Guerdat, was riding horses before he learned how to walk. The young but successful show jumper won the Rolex Grand Prix at the CHI Geneva in 2013 wearing an Everose gold Rolex Daytona. more

With the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race coming to an end a few days ago, the watchmaker once again cemented their relationship with the sport. Though the Yacht-Master model wasn't introduced until 1992, the watchmaker has been a sponsor of yachting since the 1950s. more
